Overview

The FIDA Customer Data Access MCP server implements the Financial Data Access (FIDA) regulation framework for insurance, enabling authorised AI agents to retrieve customer policy data through a consent-gated, standardised API.

Regulatory context

FIDA (EU Regulation 2023/2859) establishes open finance data sharing obligations for financial institutions including insurers. This MCP server provides a compliant adapter layer so AI agents can access FIDA-permissioned data without building bespoke integrations.

How it works

1. Customer grants consent via FIDA-compliant authorisation flow

2. Agent presents a valid access token to the MCP server

3. Server retrieves and normalises the requested data resource

4. Agent receives structured JSON for reasoning or display
